Fast forward a couple of months and I received a call from a producer from The Block, series 13. My artwork had indeed been styled in the final guest bedrooms in episode 9. And a certain judge did take a fancy to my illustration of the Valentino Rock Studs during the walk through of the room. My excitement started building. ‘Would I be featured on air?’

The series began and I was hooked - one of the best ever! The series had fun contestants and lots of controversy. I couldn’t wait for the episode to air and when it did, ‘Hello Rockstud’ was featured in Sticks and Wombat’s room on the bedside table and ‘Chanel Coco Noir’ in Clint and Hannah’s room on their desk. ‘Hello Rockstud’ in particular had a special mention from judge Shaynna Blaze, with the illustration instantly winning her over.

What a thrill and highlight 2017 turned out to be!
